One sure-fire way to speed up the achievement of your goals is to get other people involved and have them buy into your idea.

Consider for a moment the various people whose support you’d need to achieve your goals. (If you’re a driven person, it’s sometimes easy to forget that it takes the cooperation and involvement of many different parties to help you achieve your personal aims.)

Let’s think about some of the people who might be involved in helping you achieve your goals. Firstly, what can your team do to support you? Write those things down.

Secondly, consider a group that’s vitally important (yet is often left out) … your clients! Your clients, after all are the ones who put money in your pocket at the end of the day. So, think about what you need from them in order for you to achieve your goals:

Once you’ve made a note of the various people you need to collaborate with, examine what YOU need to do, in order for them to support you effectively:

The point of this exercise is to realise that even though you need the support and assistance of other people, YOU need to help them, to help you. With the support of those around you and the cooperation of key parties (like clients) you’ll be strides ahead and will find the journey of achieving your goals a lot more satisfying.
